RC Altimeter #2 BASIC
This is the tiny altimeter data logger incorporating a height limiting switch and
motor run timer now being used by over 500 RC electric glider pilots in the UK. The
unit is approved for use in the BMFA eSoaring Height Limited League and has been
well proven over the last three years.
The RC Altimeter #2 BASIC was originally designed to provide a lightweight, compact device for measuring and recording altitude over time and to flash out maximum altitude obtained and battery voltage.
The concept was taken from the design and development of instrumentation for full size gliders and is based on the same extremely accurate altitude sensor used in FAI flight loggers. It was designed specifically for use in radio controlled (R/C) model aircraft, helicopters and balloons. However it is also very useful in many other applications. The unit records altitude data which can then be downloaded to a PC via a USB interface. If used in conjunction with the RC Electronics GPS module, it will record all required GPS data (latitude, longitude, QNH and ground speed), to enable viewing of your complete flight in 3D with Google Earth. A speed graph can also be produced.

# Lightweight at only 9 grams with JR type servo cable which also fits Futaba and most other radio receivers.

# Accepts wide range of input power: 4 – 20 volts DC, but is normally powered from your aircraft receiver.
# Every unit is tested in a pressure chamber up to 950m before being shipped.
